The Hummingbird Prayer

Charlotte channeled The Hummingbird Prayer on March 11, 1994, a gift from Jesus in response to a personal tragedy at a time when she truly didn't believe she could go on. It's a prayer to a departed loved one asking for their guidance and comforting presence. After channeling it, she read it for the first time...and literally felt her heart open. She was stunned, realizing how deeply she was feeling "stuck" in her grief. It has a profound effect on the grieving process. Each time you read it, you'll be inspired to believe in your own strength. She could feel her "old self" come back to life.

The dedication phrase near the end connects you to the decedent beyond the veil. With your loved one in mind, read the sample below (dedicated to My Beloved Mother but visualize a different lost loved one, if applicable) and see if you feel its peaceful impact.

The Hummingbird Prayer has an uncanny ability to bridge the perception of distance between the deceased and those who are left behind to endure their absence. When a loss is experienced there is a tendency to shut the heart down as a self-protective mechanism. It is a common reaction, and many even consciously decide that to do this is easier than to process all the emotions in which they are suddenly engulfed. This is, however, unhealthy on mental, emotional and spiritual levels and can lead to physical problems in the range of the heart center.

While navigating the spirals and the phases of grief (denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance), it is easy to become trapped in one's imaginings of changing the past and being forced to carry on toward an unrecognizable future. How is it personalized to my situation?

The prayer itself remains the same; only the dedication phrase changes to establish a unique, direct vibrational connection to your loved one. There are a few examples below. You can choose from among My Beloved Mother/Father, My Beloved Husband/Wife, My Precious Son/Daughter, Sweet Friend, My Pet...My Loving Friend and so on. How to Select an Art Print

The dedication phrase should reflect your relationship with the decedent or, if this is a gift, the recipient's relationship to their loved one. Each product listed below indicates the dedication phrase in that particular print.

For instance, if you lost your Mom and you choose the print with the dedication phrase "My Mother...My Friend," the last stanza in your print will read:

'Til then, until His arms
embrace me and he says,
"Rest, My Child"
I shall pray that you,
My Mother...My Friend,
guide my steps
and Hover over Me

HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY PRINT?
When the transaction is complete, you'll receive your print in .pdf format. Click the "print"icon on your screen. It is recommended that you print it on 8.5" x 11" glossy or photo paper. I find a simple, black frame work best. If you need to ship it, large cardboard mailers from an office supply store work well. You'll want to write Do Not Bend - Artwork Enclosed on both sides.

HOW TO USE THE PRAYER FOR HEALING
For maximum impact, it is recommended that the recipient read the prayer in the morning, in the evening before retiring and any time throughout the day when emotional disquiet is experienced.

A WORD OF CAUTION
If you plan to give one as a gift, I would ask that you be very conscious of the timing. Because most experience a heart opening, the initial reaction to the prayer when first reading it can be extremely emotional. (People have run out of card stores crying.) Please ask the recipient to read it in a safe place, not before driving, while at work or anywhere an intense emotional reaction would be dangerous, embarrassing or inconvenient .
